According to the source of construction waste, it can be classified as follows:

1、 Waste generated from construction excavation. In the construction process of basic engineering, there are often a large number of procedures such as site leveling, excavation, replacement, and backfilling. The construction waste generated during this process is usually silt and sludge. According to statistics, the annual consumption of silt accounts for over 50% of the total construction waste.

2、 Garbage generated from the demolition of old buildings. The demolition of old buildings is usually destructive. The beams, slabs, columns, and masonry in the main structure are damaged, resulting in a large amount of sand, waste bricks, concrete, waste steel bars, waste plastics, waste wood, etc., which are the main sources of urban construction waste.

3、 Garbage generated by construction. Mainly consisting of leftover concrete, construction debris, and waste generated from house decoration.

4、 Waste generated from building materials. Mainly used for the production of various building materials, including waste and debris generated during the processing and handling of finished building materials. For example, due to quality issues, the excess and waste concrete generated during the production of concrete has long plagued commercial concrete manufacturers. It is estimated that an average of 1-1.5 cubic meters of waste concrete will be generated for every 100 cubic meters of concrete.
